As Vice President of Business Development with Valesco, Ford is a member of the originations team, supporting business development, transaction execution, investor relations, and operations. He serves as a face of the firm, maintaining and growing Valesco’s deal sourcing network to bring in new investment opportunities, while managing the pipeline and underwriting of potential acquisitions.
Prior to Valesco, Ford spent eight years in commercial lending, beginning his career at WaFd Bank before moving to Comerica Bank, where he served as a middle market lender supporting both sponsor-owned and founder/family-run businesses across a range of industries.
Ford is from Dallas and received his Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He remains closely involved with his alma mater, St. Mark’s School of Texas, supporting the school in various capacities. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and sand volleyball, spending time outdoors at his family’s ranch, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and his hometown Dallas teams. Most of all, he loves spending time with his wife, Deery, and dog, Ruby.
