As a Principal at Valesco, Angie Henson serves in key roles related to new investment origination, portfolio management, and investor relations. She has directed the firm’s strategic acquisition planning and program management as acting head of research and business development operations since 2002. Additionally, she is a member of Valesco’s Investment Committee and manages internal ops as well as marketing.
Angie’s focus on strengthening Valesco’s content production, social media presence and communications puts us at the forefront of branding and market awareness in our industry, greatly adding to our increasing levels of business development, origination and partner engagement.
Prior to joining Valesco in 1998, Angie was an account manager for a Fortune 500 company where she was responsible for customer requirements planning, fulfillment, and delivery management. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Tarleton State University (a founding member of the Texas A&M System) in addition to a certificate in entrepreneurial studies from Southern Methodist University.
Outside of Valesco, Angie is a Board Member of the American Valor Foundation, which supports military veterans, first responders and their families, is a volunteer with Mentors Care, an organization that connects at-risk high school students with adult volunteers to mentor them toward graduation and purposeful lives, and serves as an advisory board member of one of our former portfolio companies.
In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, reading and being outdoors. And, among the little-known facts about Angie – she holds the best dragster quarter mile time among us Valescans (truth be told, she’s the only one of us to ever set foot on a NHRA track) and she once caught a bird with a fishing pole!
