As a founding partner of Valesco Industries, Bud Moore is responsible for management of the firm, including; strategy development, portfolio management (working with our operating teams), new investment origination and Valesco team development. He has been an active advisor and investor in growth-oriented companies for over 30 years. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, his earliest experiences are rooted in middle market commercial and industrial businesses engaged in manufacturing and value-added distribution.
This professional family business foundation provided him with a deep understanding and appreciation for all aspects of company operations. Bud is an expert in planning, management, production, procurement sales, marketing, logistics, accounting, and finance. His experiences across operations were subsequently broadened through a variety of management and investment opportunities chiefly related to manufacturing, value-added distribution of industrial equipment and parts, and fabricated metal parts and assemblies.
Before establishing Valesco, Bud founded two firms offering specialty advisory services in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance. The development of unique corporate growth programs were central to the success and national reputation of these firms. He specifically designed these programs for middle market businesses seeking to expand market presence and grow through strategic acquisitions as well as organic growth solutions.
Bud is a member of the Valesco Investment Committee, past President and Board Member of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and is an Associate Board Member at the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business.
His other past and present Board activities include appointments with Valesco investments, trade associations and charitable foundations. Bud is a graduate of the Texas A&M University School of Business.
When he isn’t working on the mission of building Valesco, Bud enjoys time with family and volunteers as a Board member of a local recovery center helping young men recover from substance abuse.
